Our Team
A personal trainer to suit you
There's a team of personal trainers at Bottom Line Fitness, so we each have different strengths and training styles. That means you can choose the personal trainer that's best for you.
You might be looking for someone with certain experience; someone of a certain gender; a trainer who's really going to push you hard or a trainer who's more relaxed and encouraging.
Neil
I believe personal training has to be fun, hard work and an education for you. I was once told by a manager of a large health club (where I worked) that I should "show them (clients) that they cannot do it without you". I wholeheartedly disagreed with this statement and it became the catalyst to me founding Bottom Line Fitness in 2007. When you train with me you will be motivated, educated, complemented and rewarded. Most importantly you will have the confidence and knowledge to continue your training outside of your time with me.
Emma
I have been involved in health and fitness all of my life, having played all kinds of sports and most notably representing my county in Swimming. I have run both the London Marathon and the Great North run but nowadays I vary my training with circuit style weight training sessions. This type of training gives me the cardiovascular effect of running but also the sculpting and toning only weight training can provide. I like this approach as it delivers fantastic results and keeps boredom at bay! – Something I like to do with all my clients.
I am fanatical about nutrition and am currently studying Naturopathic Nutrition. This looks at how food is a medicine and how it can cure, as well as prevent disease. I also love cooking and enjoy the challenge of inventing new recipes and making healthy food taste really good! For example, ultra healthy chocolate chip brownies!!
Ryan
I have been involved in the fitness industry for the last 7 years, having recently spent a year in Australia working with many different types of clients, including training professional AFL football players. I have been a keen sportsman all my life, having played football from a young age and playing at semi–professional level today. I like to bring an outside the box approach to training to ensure that client's enjoy their workouts but also push themselves to their maximum capability. Mundane cardio workouts do not sit in my training vocabulary.
Kim
I'm a Personal Trainer & Massage Therapist. I'm a runner so I train for endurance and speed in addition to lots of functional workouts and weight training. I believe that exercise should be enjoyable and become a part of your life, not a chore. To make this happen you will want to see the results for your hard work. Lose weight, tone up, get stronger, or run a marathon– you set your goals and we'll work on them together. If you're training regularly you need to look after your muscles and joints, and regular sports massage is an excellent way to complement your workouts.
Sam
From a young age I have been interested in sports and athletics which led to me competing for Great Britain, trained and mentored by ex-Gladiator referee John Anderson. This enabled me to build a vast knowledge of different and effective training techniques, which means I have the skills to design innovative and individualised training programmes for my clients.
Phil
Hi, my name is Phil Wigley and I've worked in the leisure industry for over 10 years been a personal trainer for over 5 years. I specialise in GP referral, total body conditioning via mixed martial arts and functional training. I have worked as a senior instructor, gym manager and recruitment of personal trainers for both the public and private sector.
I believe variety is the key to success and pushing your training to a different level through various new and innovative ways. If it comfortable and easy it's not working!
My goal as a personal trainer is to be the best personal trainer. That is, every client must achieve their results. I love training people and it is really rewarding to me when they see their results over time. I am 100% committed to helping my client's achieve their goals and I prefer to work with people who are as committed as am.
Helena
